Choose a place to wear the charm: neck, wrist or ankle. 

On wrist: wrap cord up to three times around the wrist.

On ankle:  wrap cord up to two times around the ankle.

On neck: wrap cord once.

Think of a wish while the cord is knotted three times, making three consecutive  knots. 

Make sure knots are tight and secure.

Cut off excess cord.
